The African Tourism Professionals Association (ATPA) is the unifying body for Africa’s tourism industry — bringing tour companies, hotels, tour guides, and conservation organizations together under one shared mission: growing tourism across the continent responsibly and sustainably.

Africa’s tourism sector, for all its richness, has long been fragmented — operators, guides, and lodges working in isolation rather than as a connected industry. ATPA changes that. We register and represent qualified tourism professionals across borders, giving travelers a trusted way to identify verified partners, and giving our members a platform to be seen and supported. Our work spans advocacy, standards, and community — pushing for policies that protect the industry and the heritage it depends on, setting benchmarks so an ATPA badge means real accountability, and connecting members across the continent.
